The Zodiac: True or False?

Hello readers, liker, commenters, aaaaannnddd, followers!!

We are back here on the ‘New World Order’ with some interesting new stuff. Before we get into this post, we wish a heartfelt gratitude to the corona-warriors and a speedy recovery to all the patients. Today we will be talking about the Zodiac Signs. We will figure out, true or false? When we think of astrologers, we usually think instantly of wizards or witches that dabble in the dark arts to determine one’s future. Some of us think of frauds of cheats that just randomly blabber about one’s future, which never seems to come true. Others think about people who just believe in magic and paranormal rituals and practices that don’t even have an inkling of truth in them. And today, we will figure out whether they are true or not.

There are 12 zodiac signs, and each sign has its own strengths and weaknesses, its own specific traits, desires and attitude towards life and people. By analyzing the projection of the position of planets, and the Sun and the Moon on the ecliptic at the moment of birth. Astrology can give us a glimpse of a person’s basic characteristics, preferences, flaws and fears. Or so it is said. Here are the 12 zodiac signs that provide the basis for all rules of astrology;

  1. Aries
  2. Taurus
  3. Gemini
  4. Cancer
  5. Leo
  6. Virgo
  7. Libra
  8. Scorpio
  9. Sagittarius
  10. Capricorn
  11. Aquarius
  12. Pisces

Why hasn’t such astrology been dismissed as Pseudo-Science yet? Well, believe it or not, there are many reasons as to why; but we will only discuss one here (or we’ll be sitting here as long as the Big Dipper takes to go around the night sky. That is, the entire day 😂), which is, that Astrology hasn’t been dismissed yet, because, there are millions of people in the world who believe in this, and there are thousands… no, billions… no, gazillions more cases where astrological conclusions have turned out to be true. I will give you a very well-known instance, where astrology has proven to be true.

John Dee was among the finest mathematicians and scientists of the 16th century (his work on optics layed the groundwork for Galileo’s first telescope) and was widely known as an astrologer. In the year 1555, while England was in throes of a succession struggle, princess Elizabeth was placed under house arrest by Queen Mary and was scheduled for execution. The desperate princess summoned Dee wanting to know whether she would survive the ordeal or not. Dee drew up her horoscope, and to her surprise, predicted that not only would she survive, but would go on to be the next to sit on the throne of England. In the same year he was charged with treason against Queen Mary for the prediction he made for Elizabeth and was arrested. Just as Dee predicted, Elizabeth would go on to take the throne in 1558. In gratitude, Queen Elizabeth I would appoint John Dee as her trusted advisor on astrological and scientific matters for the rest of her reign (the auspicious date for the Queen’s coronation was chosen by him too).

This proves, that astrology is not just guesswork. It consists of precise measurements, deep psychology, and important calculations. Please do share in the comments, if you have ever encountered an astrologer, and if his or her predictions ever came true, are still yet to be. I hope that all of you were intrigued by this topic. I personally find this topic quite interesting, because I am a sole believer in science. And if something doesn’t use the laws of science, I try to investigate into the matter as much as I can. Until next time, readers! Stay home and stay safe!
